During the next year Sadler helped set up a new base on Stonington Island, where a glacier (since melted) connected to the mainland. In 2021 the area was named Sadler’s Passage in recognition of his work. Sadler – by then 101 – was gratified by the honour, but saddened that global warming had melted the glacier.
F'ing Yahoo News.......

ETA: If you made a movie of this dude's life, no one would believe it. Amazing read. Thanks for posting.

I thought it was climate change?
Progressives can't help themselves. Now we have one in here downvoting this thread.
The hatred they have for the country and those who protect it is unmatched.

Because Mr.Sadler's corpse is still oozing toxic masculinity and offends them.

The original baw. Dude had seen and done, in his lifetime, more than 99.9999999% of people on this earth.

From the comments section at the bottom of the linked article in the OP:
The photo of Sadler in the article when he was 91 years old is just incredible....standing straight as an arrow, and probably still just as lethal.

One Jeep sustained a puncture, the captured German pump did not work and they had to stuff blankets into the tyre. But the wheel disintegrated to the point where they were running on the brake drum and had to abandon the vehicle. The other Jeep needed water, but the spare jerry can had been accidentally poured into the petrol tank, leaving the men too without water, and the Jeep stalled. They all peed into the radiator and, at Sadler’s initiative, rigged up a siphon feeding petrol from a spare can into the carburettor.

It’s sad how weak the Brits are today. Used to be some badass mofos
WW2 really killed off too many strong bloodlines in Europe

A lot of those guys were New Zealanders, South Africans, Rhodesians.

Another thing not many know...just like 10th Mountain Division veterans basically invented the commercial ski industry in the US, veterans of the SAS and other SOF formations essentially invented the commercial adventure travel industry. A lot of them set up safari tours in Africa, etc.
