To celebrate the death of someone (that isn't an absolute evil person..say like Hitler) is disgusting. Just shows a total lack of class, respect, and basic human compassion.
RIP John McCain

The far right (Rand Paul) stands for exactly what this country was founded to be. A constitutional republic with a limited government. The far left (Bernie Sanders) wants a big government nanny state.
Here is what our constitution is intended to do:
in Order to form a more perfect Union
establish Justice
insure domestic Tranquility
provide for the common defence
promote the general Welfare
secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity
That doesn't jibe with Rand Paul's view.

I think you and Bernie take this sentence a little too literally. Welfare didn't mean take from some and give it to others in the 18th century

I’m not celebrating the passing of John McCain
But I’m also not celebrating his life.
But I’m also not celebrating his life.

What a shame he had to sully his heroic legacy at the end of his days.

What about being relieved that he's gone forever from the Senate though?
Does that still count as celebration?

I agree with that. His war mongering led to the deaths of thousands of Americans. There is no reason to exalt him.

He still held onto his seat for nearly a year when it became painfully obvious he could not carry out his duties as Arizona's Senator.
He should've done the right thing and that's step aside so Arizona can have healthy full time representation.
Pretty typical though of a life long career politician to think of their position as an entitlement that belongs to them.

This thread is a pretty good example of pathological altruism.
