I heard that on the radio this morning. Any idea how he died. I imagine heart attack or something medical since I didn't hear anything of a car accident.

Passe Partout

I think I was a teenager before I learned that a Passe Partout is the French name for a wood saw and not just a morning news program.

I think he had suffered from some type of illness (which is why he swole up like he did) and he had been suffering complications for a few years

Jim Olivier was a master at translating english language newscopy to cajun french on the fly. I used to enjoy watching him do that.

yeah he was a nice guy in person, very friendly and talkative

he was very short and he liked to do interviews standing up, so if you were too tall he would stand and they would have you sit on a stool or something so he looked down at you

I was very sad to hear this news today. I remember him on KLFY. He was doing a live commercial on KALB last week for his siding company. It was during their morning show "Jambalaya".
