Damn. This getting old sucks. It's like I'm hearing this constantly these days.

Every time I hear of a legend dying I think of Willie and Waylons duet, Heroes (1982). And they're right. One by one, and as they fall, soon they'll be no heroes at all.

Saw them at Jazz Fest many years ago. Great live band.

Jimmy Page just turned 80. He's got to be feeling it today.

Dickie was already recognized as a great guitarist when Duane died, but the fact he learned to play slide on the fly to take over Duane’s style and sound elevated him to another level.

Plus, he took on a bigger role in the band including writing songs.

There’s a story that he once got hungry while riding down the highway on his motorcycle, so he pulled into a field, slaughtered a cow, and cooked a steak over a fire.

Very sad... yes. But be grateful for all that music he gave us.

It's Dickey. Not Dicky, Dickie, or Da'Kee.

I’ve seen his son many times. It’s good, but not even close to Dickie.

He wrote Jessica, as well.

As an instrumental focused around the piano solo which was written by Chuck Leavell, I think it should be a co-credit.

I would believe it if it was their road manager Twiggs Lyndon. He was legit crazy speed addict.
