Thanks for these suggestions. Ive read everything i can find about SOG. Billy Waugh is mentioned in several books ive read. He was an absolute badass. Havent come across Franklin Miller’s book, but im gona check it out.
Other SOG books i enjoyed:
We Few and Whispers in the Tall Grass by Nick Brokhausen. Brokhausen is a badass and an awesome story teller.

Interesting note about SOG. The South Vietnamese military had a shaky reputation to put it mildly, but it was an ARVN helicopter squadron that did most of the SOG insertions and extractions, usually under pretty desperate and hair raising circumstances.

It’s an MP5SD. Although some Recon guys did carry a suppressed Swedish K in the bush.
