Friend,

Couldn’t agree with you more wholeheartedly. That anyone thinks they need alcohol to have a better time is evidence that Big Alcohol and its mob distributors have brainwashed the easily led masses. The opiates of the people in our time and culture are alcohol and sports entertainment.

I am having an absolutely marvelous Mardi Gras, as always. I haven’t needed one drop of alcohol. My senses, thinking and decision making have all been sharp. My memories are being formed without any extrinsic chemicals to fool or stunt their development. Without the delirious side effects of that evil drug I am able share mirth and merriment with everyone.

Having full control of one’s faculties makes Mardi Gras and life far better. I wish more would try it.

Sincerely,
TulaneLSU

Not a response to you, ed.

#1-FU, capper. This is a free country. The price of dealing with a free country, is that there is no shortage of a holes. And Mardi Gras tend to bring them all out.

#2-Dorothy, and the news that her name is attached to, are BS. See message above. This is free country. AGain, the problem is that a holes have the right to be a holes.

#3-The irony of this post.......i am not much of a MG fan because the degenerate 20 year old me is what i do not want to hang out with as a 46 year old dad of two.

So where does all of the self-righteous pontification in this thread get us? Mind your own business. Do your thing, I will do mine. If I can find a family friendly area which I can bring my family, good for me. If i cannot, i will take the kids to the camp and learn different things.

As for the Dorothy thing.....stick those “rules” up your arse. Again, i will hang out with whom i want to hang out with. If certain people wish to hang out with only one type of person, that is their prerogative. I prefer to learn from people, but to each their own.

My humble $.02.

Just my one section of one float alone has white, black, Asian, and Hispanic dudes on it.

So you not only have a black friend, but an asian and latino too. How could Mardi Gras be racist, what was I thinking.

So much butthurt in this thread. Regardless of the whining, riders do bear some responsibility for the safety of the public and their fellow float riders. Quit acting like drunken heathens on the floats and think about the safety of the crowd before you start dangling cheap toys off the side of the float

responsibility

How ironic you use that word.

You should take some responsibility instead of asking for handouts.
