Should hear fighters where you’re at all the time.

I'm not there anymore but not with the afterburners firing a few thousand feet up through the middle of town.

About 30 years ago an acquaintance of mine of who had a private pilot's license strolled into a small airport on the north shore and "borrowed a private plane" He took it for a spin and then buzzed a school campus a few times and landed the plane on the highway in front of the campus. He lost his license and spent a little time in a mental ward. He was bi polar and did a lot of self medicating. About 5 years later he was going through a divorce and child custody issues when he walked into court during the lunch break and emptied a loaded gun into his wife, reloaded sat in the Judges chair and shot himself in the head. I would have thought that he would either O.D.'d or by ending it all in a plane ride. He was a broken guy with a few screws loose.

Unseen security footage of Russell checking in at work then stealing the plane

Crazy coincidence that this video showed up on my recommended YT vids earlier today. I watched it, went to eat and said when I get home, I’m gonna look into more details on this guy and see if he ever did a barrel-roll.

Then I found this thread trending. Strange coincidence.

Well, I saw the NBC video on my twitter feed and started watching YouTube footage, which prompted me to start the thread. So maybe the new video was trending everywhere

The craziest story no one talks about. There are a lot of commercial pilots out there that wouldn't know how to operate a Q400. Respect to the bloke.

This night was when I became enamored with the OT.
Never again would I go anywhere else for breaking news without checking here first.

I remember it like yesterday, I respected him for his admission of knowing he was a little crazy. He flew the plane like a boss.

Badass day. I didn’t see the plane but could hear the fighter jets tracking. Weird situation because no one really seemed worried about him hitting a building etc. Local news was following live. Once he survived the flip we were hoping he’d try to land.
