Tell me more about your unicorn.

i don't see Assad supporters or the primary rebel groups of the civil war doing so, either. that was ISIS, who is a 3rd actor in Syria

Al Qaeda (JAN) is the largest and most effective rebel force, after Isis.

they're not doing this at all

they're primarily focusing on rebel groups (that we support) who are in opposition to Assad. ISIS is secondary

their support of Assad is directly against western civilizations and is a power play for Russian/eastern interests

Putin doesn't care either way about us, but we still benefit when they kill ISIS members.

I absolutely agree. Anyone who grew up during the cold war knows exactly what Russia is about...and it is not to be the caretaker of the world...

Yea Russia is the coolest. All you morons who think you want Putin over Obama should move there and find out just how cool his REGIME is. Figure out the true definition of facism. They may not be there completely but are well on their way.

The Russians aren't fighting for western civilation.

They're only in Syria to establish oil and natural gas contracts as well as prep their military for future conflicts under the guise of fighting ISIS.

Same as us.

Hey Abdul, what does that bomb coming down on you have written on it?

Hang on Achmed, it's still too far away to read.

Russia isn't the USSR. They are not a revolutionary government bent on exporting that revolution abroad.

The US even made jokes in their messages, and writing on bombs was common on both sides.

...and they still at it today.

This is the correct answer. Russia has had a deep mistrust for the West since long before the existence of the United States.

In this specific instance those interests are more in line with western values than our current president's. Having a stable, strong and secular ruler is much better for all of us. Our president has no plan.

This country is never had a viable and coherent plan, when It omes to Middle East

Can you blame them? Everyone has tried to invade them.

I don't think they distrust anyone, per se. They just take a dim view of human nature, and tend to plan for the worst. Open borders and a history of invasion are part of that though.
