Will stores like Walmart, Home Depot, etc, accept a returned item if the item is unused and box is unopened past a certain time limit?
The receipt says 90 day returns, but I'm just wondering if they will go further than that.

Walmart,
You could probably wait a year and they would take it back.

Tell them you don't have the receipt and bought it last week. They will probably give you a gift card for the amount of purchase.

Tried to return a few rolls of unopened Christmas lights after Christmas and they wouldn't have it.

I have had really good look returning things outside their window of return. I can't think of ever having an issue anywhere outside of apple.
