Isn't there a statue of REL at West Point?
I couldn't find one, but there is a barracks named after him.
Per Wiki: Lee Barracks: Home to cadets from the First Regiment, it was built in 1962, and is named after General Robert E. Lee, it also houses the cadet barber shop in its basement.

New Orleans had a chance after Katrina to maybe turn a corner, but that ship has sailed.

The cultural and economic and the spiritual loss to this city for having those statues up that have run people out of the city,” Landrieu claimed. “The great migration that sent some of our best and brightest to places across the country that we don’t have the benefit of has been incredible.”
I ain't going to lie I would not have the balls to say that in public with a straight face.
The truth is the Democratic Leadership of New Orleans taxed away its population businesses left because of crooks and now they're leaving because of crime. Good luck motherfrickers.

Did he just associate white flight with the best and the brightest? He's a fricking racist.

Nola isn't pro business. Corporations won't stay when the politicians are looking for a shake down.

I think he's saying it was black flight.
He's saying black people are so emotionally fragile that they can't cope with a statue. That's why he's racist.

How long has he been with his black mistress?

You mean the black woman he's been raping with his whitemanning like Thomas Jefferson and his slave?
Not sure.

I hung around with them 35 years ago. The extended Landrieu family is nothing but an arrogant, crooked, racist, better than thou group of miscreants.

I assumed everyone knew this to be the case.

Why in the world does Mitch the Bitch refer to them as "statutes"? The guy has a law degree. He obviously knows the difference between a statue and a statute. So WTF is he thinking? But on second thought his JD is from Loyola so maybe he can plead ignorance.

Looks like he was insulting the people who elected to stay in New Orleans.

He should be asked to bring forward a person or family who left the city because of statues.

He'll pay someone to play the part. The Dems have a monopoly on the crisis actor agency sector. They have plenty of potential actors for the role (well funded too).

So I take it you would like Lee's Mansion overlooking Arlington National Cemetery burnt to the ground? What about the Vietnam Wall? That has to be offensive Vietmanse since we destroyed their country and yet still hasn't fully Recovered. I won't be going back to New Orleans anytime soon. Canceled three trips for the year.

Many people think they're good people, they aren't.

As a non native Of New Orleans, the only reason to visit that place is the food and History. This sucks, and there's no way around it. This guy knows the problem, knows why there's crime, but wishes to knowingly subvert the truth for Political gains. His actions will further create an ever fleeing populous and increase the problems liberals create. They can't get out of their damn way...

Of course. How could I not be offended by inanimate objects.

Well, the solution is obvious. Send Robert E. Lee to Atlanta, Jefferson Davis to Houston and P.G.T. Beauregard to Dallas. That way, those statues can scare the good folks back.
