I would rent a trailer and haul it to a landfill before I’m going through the hassle of a dumpster.
It isn't really a hassle. You call them. They drop it off. You fill it up. They pick it up. Pay over the phone.

OP, depending on how much junk you have, get a walk in dumpster if you can. Ask some neighbors if they want to split it. Everyone always has junk. Our neighborhood gets large ones twice a year and they get emptied at least twice during each event.

Every neighbor will be eyeballing that thing waiting for their opportunity to throw a mattress, dresser, Xmas tree and boiled crawfish trash in there
I doubt that’ll happen to you but it will if it’s a construction site dumpster

Look into Bagster service as well.
I checked on that; looked like the perfect thing to use.
Naturally, here in backward fricking NELA, it isn't available.

I had one for years but I seldom find the need for one here.
One would come in handy. I have a tahoe so I could drag a trailer.
Not too happy about the idea of driving it into a landfill.

Don't get a BBC or your wife won't be back.

Exactly what happened to me when I built my house 3 years ago. The company I rented through didn’t charge by the weight or how long you kept it. Just charged a fee every time they had to swap it out.

There's a new bedroom suit in there but one wouldn't know it for all the crap in there.
