My father in law is looking to book a quality local remodeler early to fix his flood damage in Woodland Ridge. He'd like to get in early before the fly-by-nights from out of state come in with scams and shoddy work.

Any recommendations?

If they are reputable and in the area, it's pretty likely they and their family got damage and they will do that work first.

Tell him it is worth it to cool his heels bc the people who will be available right away probably won't be very good.

Or reputable people will sub it out to shite results.

I agree with this. After Rita, we went with concrete floors for nearly a year before we got the place remodeled.

Yeah, didn't consider this. I'll pass along.

I would personally call everyone in the telephone book right now and hire any one of them that is available...if they are local, you can pretty easily get references between the time that you talk to them and the time that they start work.

Agreed I wouldn't get in a rush. You want to avoid the out of town contractors or anything similar

My SIL does new and rebuilding. And yes, full bonded. Really don't know what he has on his plate, but I will ask him once cell service is back up.
