On the bright side of things it helps that the school and cops practice what they perceive as may be an actual threat situation. I was in highschool before mass shootings started happening so I don't even know what goes into a drill. So maybe a false alarm lets them take a look at what worked or didnt work.
On the bad side, "boy who cries wolf" mindset and everyone is terrified for nothing.

Not in Lamar County, MS. Their LEOs and even just every day citizen baws love taking down bad guys like a fat boy loves cake.
