I actually like it a lot. Not a huge fan of the grill but like everything else.
Put a front end replacement on it and be good to go.

Not yet. would expect similar to Ford's ecoboost v6 numbers.

Things I like so far:
Hybrid- Iforce Max tech
Integrated brake controller
12 K towing capability
Toyota Saftey Sense
Interior looks great to me and is massively upgraded. The pics make it look luxury
Screen looks massive and has cool features- Alexa, Android Auto, etc
Pano sunroof
Roll down back window
Composite bed
Push button bed opening
Rear coil suspension- completely upgraded suspension from previous Tundras
Air leveling built in
Built in phone chargers
Made in San Antonio
This TFL video, while 50 minutes, has the chief engineer and he goes over all of it. TFL
Typical Toyota. They get something solid, then use it for 8-15 years, then leap it way forward.

One big turnoff is that many details look so oversized, like it is a Tonka toy.
All that luxurious premium plastic plastic in the interior ain't helping, either.
And holy hell, look at this crap on the TRD:
Are those letters detachable magnets so preschoolers can practice spelling? Just add a Fisher-Price steering wheel so Biden can play drive again.
That said, I might be open to a dechromed blue platinum. It looks better in the vids than in the publicity pictures.

Love the red interior.
Reminds me of my old GMT-400 Silverado that had a red interior.

If so, I would definitely do this:
You have to, right?

About as ugly as some of the latest GM offerings....
I actually like the updated 2022 Chevy trucks much more than this new Tundra.
I have a 4Runner TRD now. So I probably won’t need a new car for a long time unless I wreck this one.

Traded it my last Ecoboost with over 200k on it and zero issues.
Your experience is a product of close to 10 years of sorting out that powerplant by end users.
It isn't typical by any means as an overall testament to the reliability of the Ecoboost.
Plenty of original owners have been told to pound sand out of powertrain warranty (notice how it's not 100k anymore?) when their trucks needed $3k plus repairs.
