Hasn’t this always been the case?
Legit question.

Thought the new Chevy body style was the ugliest truck ever made. Toyota said hold my beer.

prepare for downvotes from the Toyota truck nerds who think they are better looking than an OT 10 naked in their bed spread Eagle. They like their big clunky trucks

I’m fine with that. I’m watching the TFL video now on it. 3.5L TT V6 with an electric motor sandwiched between the engine and ten speed transmission……everyone shits on Ford and rides their coattails at the same time.

When I was a teenager, I had exotic car posters on my wall... Lambo, Ferrari, etc.

My kids will have posters of 1/2 ton trucks on the wall.

Im pretty sure Id have to refi my mortgage to get a new decently equipped truck.

I don't like the ones with Chevrolet spelled out in the grill with no bowtie.

The higher trim levels look good.

Just what I like hurtling down the road at me, several tons separated by the width of a yellow line, with a driver trying to check his 6 camera views.

Thats where Toyota Safety Sense enters the picture. That truck isn't straying from its lane.

And lower longevity and reliability...

Every Toyota add ever mentions reliability. Toyota won't put that reputation in question. I imagine they tested the crap out of the new engines and they already know how they will hold up.

Well thats just your opinion man...

I think the Tundra and new Chevy body style look great. By far my favorite trucks compared to Ram, Ford, or Nissan.

The new Tundra will be reliable but ugly, just like their wives.

Wish the suspension was a little higher, the Pro is only a 1.1” front lift. Waiting to see where that falls on the Fox 2.5 coilovers. Would be great if you could still get another inch or two of lift. Even if not it’s a beast.

I saw 3" factory lift kit.

I won't be part of the experiment.

Anyone who thinks a strung out V6 with forced induction will compare to the normally aspirated previous gen in reliability would be very foolish.

This was me too. It's why I went ahead and got a 21. I figured worse case scenario in a couple of years, I'll get my money back.

new engines

I'm not sure how new this engine is. I think they have been using it in the land cruiser, some Lexus models and maybe others in other parts of the world for a while now.
