Okay, well since we are playing the absolutes game, lets say you walk into your house to find three large men raping your wife.
In your world of absolutes, would you
A.) Patiently wait for them to finish
B.) Provide them with refreshments and condoms
C.) Blame your wife for tempting them
D.) Other: _______________________________
Now clearly I am being very sarcastic here, but to steal your phrase, I loathe people who don't understand that there is no telling where this world will take you.
Anybody is capable of anything at anytime.

And yet you've been pontificating in this whole thread. Kindly STFU now.
The question was is she wrong that he dindnuthin. That answer is a blaring no. What he did was morally and legally wrong, I did not state what I would do other than the fact that I would not be in the same position. I am sorry that you do not have the reading comprehension skills to see this and jumped in and began making your own injections of what I was responding to.

You yourself said you don't know what you'd do in the situation after pages of saying you know you would do such and such. You're full of shite and outed yourself. Comprehend that.

Dude knew that he was serving 40 years and just got popped for battery of a guard at the prison. He knew he wasn't up for early release. I wonder if the person who processed this happened to know the family. Obviously someone who struggles with the concept of not killing someone and not obtaining firearms illegally would probably struggle to process that this too is illegal though.

Yes she is. If the bank teller accidentally gives you $1100 on a withdrawal instead of $1000 are you stealing a $100? YES. The fact that this argument is even being had shows how far America's morals have gone into the shiatter.
You are saying with these quotes that you would remain an unfree man, instead of taking an early release, because it's the moral thing to do.
ETA:

And that's not what she's saying. She's saying that the prison screwed up for releasing him early when they weren't supposed to. She never said he didn't murder anyone.

The world is not absolute. In this situation I would be their judge and executioner and morally protecting your family and household when someone is committing harm is justified. Maybe I did not make my point, or possibly when answering my responses to questions I misunderstood what was being asked.
1. Morally he is in the wrong, and the fact that anyone is questioning that is ridiculous.
2. He is lacking morals to begin with if he committed murder and has already been docked for jumping a guard.
3. I was raised to not do #2.
4. Because of #3 I do not know what I would do if I was in a similar situation, but if I did what he did I would still be in the wrong, which was the original question that someone argued was not wrong.
Better?!

Find where I said once that in his position I would not do the same thing! I said it was wrong not that I would not do it as well if by some unforeseen event I was in his shoes.

No, I said it was wrong. I said that those saying he did nothing wrong as he and his mom both obviously think are wrong.

Mom shouldn't be surprised if her kid gets gunned down if he doesn't turn himself in.
Bottom line.
Mom make sit sound like they fricked up and should just not worry about looking for him.

Nobody is saying he didn't do anything wrong for murdering someone. Obviously he did and deserves to be in prison.
Where he didn't do anything wrong was accepting an early release. Which is what his mom is talking about.

this sounds like an episode of orange is the new black.
they will find him at a bus station not knowing what to do

Oh, so now the article writer's words are a direct quote of the mom for you to interpret however you wish?

This is what I was arguing. It is wrong, whether or not everyone in here would do the same thing does not make it right. NO matter how one justifies it its still wrong, this does not mean I would not do the same thing.

Exactly.
I think people tend to forget that in cases like this. I am not excusing the guys actions, but I think anyone would be hard pressed to handle it differently.
I am sure he realizes he will end up back in jail soon though. Might not like it, but I can't blame the guy for milking it a little.

But how do you know the jailer didn't just come in and say your sentence has been reduced and you are being released early? For all he knows that's what the judge decided and he doesn't know it was a clerical screw up.

Then where is he now? Is he retarded? This stuff is worked into the conviction when or if someone can have early release or parole.

You're the one with nothing but an out of context quote and then assigning the mom's feeling to the writer's words.
