The guy wasn't asking for an opinion in his post, he was giving a warning. Nothing said in that post was going to stop him. At least in this case, OP's premise is insane.

You don't know what may or may not have stopped this. Perhaps what you surmise is true, but there are tons of examples of suicide risks and hostage takers that have been talked out of potentially killing.

Yes, he wasn't asking, but people don't need to encourage stuff either. From what I understand, there were more posts than the mostly benign ones we see that were almost daring or encouraging.
