I haven't even looked at the weather thread. the older I get the less I care enough to get pissed off about anything.

I second the rec about the defroster. Take out the shelves in the freezer, unscrew the back wall and you should see the insides covered with ice.

Use a hair dryer to melt the ice and replace defrost element.

I already changed the heater coils ( elements ) the thermostat and the defrost timer , the compressor , evap. fan is working fine , and as another poster suggested I checked the fan in the freezer .

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

Not fully understanding your issue but there were a lot of Maytag (and others) that had a drain plug that would clog up too easy. They have e anew style that prevents the clogging.

Link below is a video on the issue...

Yes and the thing is it appears all parts are working fine but it keeps freezing up , I'll defrost it and it gets cold for a few days then it will freeze up again

Thanks , I checked the drain and it's fine , when the problem first occurred about a month ago it was frozen solid , since then I changed the heater coils , thermostat and the defrost timer . The fridge is not getting cold because the freezer side keeps freezing up every 4 to 5 days

What kind of ice is it? Clear ice or frosty?

Is it your door seal or your door not sealing properly? If your door doesn't seal properly the humid air will cause it to ice up bad. Happens on deep chest freezers a ton.

What about the freon level?
