I would say so. My dads been using one for a long time, small and portable, easy to use. I might get one.

I’m still high on Weber gas grills. My 16-year-old Weber Silver C finally started to get dodgy so I sprang for a new $1250 Weber Genesis II four-burner for my 70th birthday last month. So far so good, no problem with searing plus I kept the cast iron grates from my old Weber.

And the old Weber is still there just in case. For bbq and smoking I still have an inexpensive $200 off-set barrel pit.

Cheap grills work fine. They just don’t last and can be a headache.

Man, I love my charbroil infrared too. The steak, hamburgers, and chicken come out so damn juicy. But now I'm gonna check out some of the recs in here as well.
