That’s how I still do it.

Come on man, really. It's as easy as wipe off shoes with a damp rag to remove dirt and dust, apply polish, let said polish dry a bit, buff with a proper shoe shine brush, buff with a rag.


Military shine would still apply, but that's a bit overboard in my opinion. I don't want my shoes looking like patent leather.
