no, the rivet pins are stronger than my bits. you have to punch out the center pins, then drill out the alunimum head, then remove parts, reassemble and then put new rivets in.
I do love this $19 rivet tool. I can see using it in lieu of tack welding here and there.

they use rivets because the profile/depth of a rivet is a known value when crushed and can be very short allowing free movement of the regulator arms without potentially catching on a bolt and nut that is taller

Ford - for those who can afford them most dependable truck
