Obviously but your posts on the topic made it sound as if CF randomly made it up.
I do think CF can be good when all the tools and programs are designed intelligently. Unfortunately that’s not the case with every location and is something corporate should standardized. It also doesn’t help that the best CF athletes don’t even implement CF as their primary mode of training

Everything CrossFit does was around before crossfit outside of maybe the butterfly pullup.
CrossFit changed the game with metabolic conditioning, in a good way.
The critism of the butterfly pullups is legitimate, and they shouldn't be used during training, but when the objective is to do pullups as fast as possible it's clearly a more effective method.

I have a buddy who joined years ago and when he went on vacation, he said they called him every day wanting him back in the gym even though he told them he was out of town. When he got back, he went and said I’m quitting and don’t ever fricking call me again.

2. There's tons of gyms of all kinds that do this kind of shite. Google your closest LA Fitness and read all the reviews about how they won't cancel people's membership
Seeing a bunch of dudes that haven't seen their own dick in a decade insecure about how other dudes exercise is pitiful

But the thing is if you think it's such a joke that it's never just sitting there doing strict pullups. You would more than likely be doing an assortment of different workouts for different parts of your body in addition to the pullups. All under a time cap like 28 minutes. If you think that's a joke then you've never done a workout like that before.

The Kipping pull-ups do have their place. I used to be against them. It’s actually good to do them on occasion, but to do the movement well you do need to improve your mobilization in the scapula
