In my opinion, transplants from NY are worse than the ones from CA. California has a significantly larger GOP voter base than NY does.

I’ll bite on your shine hook.
I’m a physician, if I moved to California I would greatly decrease my earning capability, pay insane taxes (I currently pay zero state income tax), spend way more money on gas, housing, and basically everything, and have to deal with insane politics.
I will say the natural beauty would be cool and the skiing would be cool (always wanted to learn).
