There is no context to your story or hers so this makes little to no sense.

Are you saying that us, as tax payers, should be giving this person money? Or there should be more government assisted mental health care?

What are you trying to convey?

I'm new here but I wish I could offer you another down-vote.

Her church..if she has one would help. Ill drive someone, ill mow someones grass, ill buy groceries...but I wont support policies that force my neighbor at the threat of government to do so.

Where is this woman's husband?

I'll bite..

1. Where is the father?
2. Why blame Government?
3. Why have kids that you cannot afford?
4. Why put your life on Facebook about your kids mental health when you may be the one with the problem?
5. Get off fricking Facebook

But, in reality we should reach out and help our neighbors and our community....but only those who attempt to help themselves.

My wife before we married was a single mom, full time college student, and worked to pay for everything she had. it's all about choices, you can choose to be a victim or not.

What I hate about these posts is really...who is going to criticize this kind of post? This stuff breeds more of the same behavior, because nobody cares enough about this woman to tell her what she really needs to do... she says in the post "instead of driving around all day" how about you get an at home job? nobody said your job had involve neglecting your kids.

and BTW... "i absolutely would not be able to feed high quality food to my babies without snap".... you're welcome, and because the money that comes out of my check for you to be lazy i can't feed my kids high quality food.

so typical... responsible people get punished, so that irresponsible people can continue to be irresponsible

We know what your point is.

You shouldn't be making fun of people like this woman. You have no idea of the hell she has and is going through but she sounds like she's handling it better than a person like you ever would.

Just so happens that I know for a fact that LSU psychiatric residency program on Essen sees kids for next to nothing.

Most universities with master's programs in counseling or counseling psychology also offer services for free or next to nothing. There are resources out there, sometimes you just have to look a little harder. I'm not saying it's easy, but there are resources.

I'm arrogant and obnoxious (and a drunk) so I'd probably make it worse, so I'll decline.

Thanks, though.

Speech therapy and occupational therapy are free for children who need it from birth until they finish high school.

no problem helping someone who is down, does mom work? Where is dad? grandma and grand pa? if they need help with the basics :food stamps, health, shelter etc...fine but if we are helping with the basics then she had better not be splurging on other things (newest smart phone, nice vehicle, nice house, expensive food, expensive clothing jewelry, finger nails etc) and should be working on a plan to get off of public assistance and not accept that they will be on it forever

If this person posted this message to facebook, why are you concerned with protecting their identity?

Also, I'm all for helping people, but is there more to this story? there seems to be a lot missing, there are probably other factors leading this person to be overwhelmed. Other aspects of this person's lifestyle could be changed to help ease the feeling of being overwhelmed. I feel like the author of the FB post is keying in on the kids as a means for getting sympathy, who says no to a kid?

Something just seems odd to me, but then again I don't know the whole story.
