Reading aloud on a plane

So I'm on a plane at Love Field that is a bit delayed while waiting to take off. A woman in the row in front of me is reading aloud to her son, who looks about 10 or 11. A guy in my row is trying to read a book and looks like he wants to kill her right now.
What's the OT say? Acceptable to read aloud on a plane, or no?

Depends on how loud. Any louder than the typical low-volume plane conversation, than no.

She gets some points for the kid, but no dick move.

Hell no and you should be kicking her seat in retaliation

It's the only thing you can hear on the plane right now. And her son is on his phone. Ha.
I think the guy just went to complain to the flight attendant.
Whatever, I'm going to sleep. At least I get story time.

Is the kid mentally challenged. 10-11 is kind of old to be read to. Maybe the kid is autistic or something and she's doing you guys a favor keeping the kid calm.

He doesn't need to get a flight attendant, just simply ask if she can lower her voice. If she declines, then go get someone. She's being a parent, not gonna fault her too much right now.

That's why they have first class or fly private.
Sorry you're poor.

Or just start reading your book out loud as well.
I'm a chick though...we are masters at passive aggressive bitchiness

If you're getting on a flight without some kind of way to block out noise, good luck & God bless.

What happened to people communicating with each other? I'd be happy the kid wasn't being a brat.

You should read aloud from Penthouse Letters.
