Lots of very reflective, somber videos of newscast from 9/11/01. If you need something a little more upbeat to lift your spirits I offer up reactions to the news we killed that trash piece of shite:

I wish I had a video of the Seal shooting him in the face so I could replay it everyday when I got up in the mornings and when I went to sleep at night.

If I were a betting man, I'd say Bin Laden had been dead for several years before he was "killed". It's easier to sell a war to the public when the face of your enemy is still alive.

You should read up on Seymour Hersh's reporting on Bin Laden's death. Essentially Bin Laden was killed on the "official" date, by our Seals, but under different circumstances. Basically a quid pro quo between us and the Pakistani government; more or less a sanctioned hit. I believe it. There is absolutely no way the Pakistani government was oblivious to Bin Laden living under what amounted to house arrest in Abbottabad near a major military installation. Regardless of the circumstances, his death was a triumph for civilization and I stil lremember how exhilarating that night was.

I’m still a little leery that he actually died on that day. Why no pics released? And a “sea burial” idk about that

I cried tears of joy that night, just like the tears of sorrow I cry for 9/11. It is the defining event of my life, and I can’t not feel utter emotion when faced with it. I’m watching comeback season sports after 9/11 on ESPN as I type this, and I have tears.

frick UBL and frick those terrorist fricks. I wish they had lived so we could torture them for the rest of their miserable fricking lives. That cocksucking piece of human trash didn’t deserve a double tap to the head. He and his cohorts deserved much much worse.

Bin Laden was killed about two weeks prior to my recruit training graduation from Parris Island. The uproar in the barracks was unbelievable. First time the DI’s let us feel human in three months and they were fine with it as they were glad too.

The sea burial is transparent bullshite (another thing Hersh reports at length on) for PR reasons. I don't really have a problem with that as a cover story though.

The absolute best was Geraldo that night. He has the helm for Fox News when the White House called the presser at 10:30 pm. As they were waiting for it to start Geraldo guessed correctly that it was to announce UBL was dead.

LINK go to 3:55 to see him guess correctly.

“I just thought of this...what if it is UBL? Wouldn’t that be great and make our weekend? How that son of a bitch has wrecked our lives...”
