Good answers out there and congratulations on a good ID. I once saw one going into one of my wood duck boxes. I waded to the box, lifted the lid and pulled the sonofabitch out and tossed it away. I saw it two days later on my patio smiling at me. I let them go. I don't hate them.

if you have a rat snake - you need a rat snake - more beneficial than a king snake

The copperhead I saw last night at 9:30pm in front of my neighbor’s house = good snake I’ll probably need to kill one day

People are retarded. We love our friendly snakes around here.

I always see rats/corns and racers. They eat rodents obviously but only the racers and kings (especially) eat the copperheads and rattlers
I know there are kings on our property, but don’t see them often.
We have a grumpy and incredibly fast racer who lives under a stump in our front yard. My stupid dogs mess with it even though it strikes at them.

If you grab it by the tail and his head is towards the ground, it will be hard for him to bite you anyway. You could easily move it.

It’s what i do with most king snakes, garter snakes, water snakes, or rat snakes i come across.
