Just saw a interview he did... the man had a wife and kids... started a program to help felons find decent paying jobs... started a couple businesses... and it's all gone... this shite make me sick... RIP Lil Brother
This. He was very active in developing small businesses in inner city LA. A lot of stuff in his music was based off that same idea, working hard for results.
He promoted some of the most responsible, smart stuff in music. He had a line about how he owns all publishing rights on his songs.
His Victory Lap album was really good. RIP.

Yet he was still in a gang?

Do you? If so please enlighten me as to what I wrong about?
I'm not the one preaching to people on a message board about the rules of being currently active in a street gang

He's addressed being born into that lifestyle. I figure it's not uncommon if you're born into a gang affiliated family in south central LA that you follow those footsteps.
There's a difference between using that affiliation to create violence and trying to move your life in the right direction. I can respect growing, and his adult life was pretty clearly marked by growing.

dude, why are you still trying to argue anything in a rapper being shot dead thread on the fricking OT? The previous 10 pages of comments don't tell you enough?

You told me what I posted was wrong like you have some insider knowledge to base your post off of so why don't you share with us what I was wrong about?
I will save you the time because you can't. Active Blood & Crip members can't stand to be in the same neighborhood as each other with fighting or murdering each other but you want to tell me that an active Crip would do business with an active Blood? Yeah right.
There have been attempted truces by both gangs over the years in Los Angeles that have failed because they can't all get on the same page but you want to tell me they are capable of doing business together?

Active Crips don't wear any other color besides Crip blue.

I didn't really read any of the previous 10 pages. Just saw the thread today.
If people disagree, that's fine. I'm not really worried about extra internet points for rightness and wrongness about a guy no one here's met. I have my opinion. If it isn't shared, no big deal.

You mistake me for someone that gives a shite. Don't let me get in the way of you responding to every single post in this thread talking bad about your favorite rapper.
Most of them are fricking with you and you still can't see it

This one hurts. I hadn't heard of him until this morning and now this gentle musical genius is gone.

No, I still want to hear your explanation concerning where I was wrong about Bloods & Crips not being able to work together as well as the difference between active & non active gang members?

Sure

Where did you learn all your gang knowledge? The streets right?
My question was where did you learn your gang knowledge you moron. Not sure where you got the idea I'm trying to discuss gang members and their work ethic with you.
Good luck with the rest of the thread though, I can tell this is about as pointless as Nipsey's business intelligence

Seems like you implied that you possess facts to contradict what I posted so I would like to hear them.

His net worth as of yesterday was near $8 million dollars so his business intelligence couldn't have been all that pointless.

These idiots in this thread never cease to amaze me. All you have to do is google this dude and what he has done since changing his life to see this isn’t your typical gang banging type rapper. I didn’t know his music but took a few minutes to look into him since there was such an outpouring on social media. He clearly was trying to make a difference in his inner city. Something this board should applaud.
But nah, instead just be ignorant and sheltered to your little Louisiana small town ways.
A large portion of this board is filled with people completely out of touch. It’s a shame, really. I mean that.

So anybody have any theories on why this altruistic community leader was basically executed?
Or we rolling with the gubment snuffed him for curing aids

Like a lot of folks who make it out of the projects, he likely was killed out of jealousy and his former ties to gangs. Basically should have left and never looked back.
And no one has used the term altruistic to describe him. He obviously has a rough history. The point is that he was doing a lot right at the time he was killed.
You denying that?
