A little math: The average per capita income in Boyce hovers a little under $18,000. A failure to use signal ticket will set you back $215 (not including any additional administrative costs that may be added). That means a citation for failure to use a signal will set back the average Boyce resident ~1.3% of their average annual income.
I agree with others that I will choose to take my business elsewhere. No gas stops there for me. No eating at a local diner as I pass through. I made the same decision years ago with Henderson, Krotz Springs and Port Barre. Henderson collects more in traffic fines than it does in local taxes. In 2013 Washington collected $1.3 million in fines and forfeitures which accounted for 84% of the town's operating revenue.

frick Boyce. They were a speed trap along Hwy 1 for decades, then I-49 took away their golden goose. They will go bankrupt is the universe is just.

Ain't no Boyce resident getting a ticket. That's for out of towners
