In 1971, parents let me and a friend stay up and watch the late movie....in it, a man and a woman pull up to a motel late at night in a ferocious thunderstorm. They check in to a creepy room and the woman opens a window curtain and there is a green faced man peering in the window as lightning flashes. Fifty years later, I still don’t like opening a curtain at night.

Had all the books and records before the original movie came out, cried and begged to go see the movie, cried and begged to leave half way through and told mom to throw the books and records away. I was 4.
