Yeah - It's going to be a pretty nice trail if they ever finish it.
The BREC map I posted doesn't show the section they recently completed that runs along Ward's Creek behind Pennington Biomedical. I'm not sure how old that flyer is...
The path itself is nice and connects to Kenilworth park to Pollard Estates. I don't know if there are plans to continue through towards the Southdowns area. At this point it just ends at Quail Dr.

All of that land along Dawson's creek used to be cattle and farm land. I would guess they are old dilapidated bridges that land owners had built on their land.

If they could somehow run it through southdowns to the lakes that would be a huge accomplishment in my book. hell you could theoretically bike from north campus to perkins rowe in that case.

They are currently pouring concrete under the bridge at siegen so the plan is for the BREC path to go all the way down Dawson's creek

I heard a while back that a path was supposed to be built all the way down Hyacinth from Stanford to Glasgow. With that route, you could easily ride through Rouzan (when finished), Woodchase and Pollard to connect to the path to get to Kenilworth.
I'd imagine you could bike from Campus to Perkins Rowe faster than you could take a car (unless it's a Sunday morning with no traffic). Looks like 8 miles or so.

That would be awesome. I'd definitely consider biking to work it I had a safe route and it was under 10 miles

There's no reason why it couldn't follow the creek that runs along the lakes and crosses Stanford all the way to where it meets Dawson Creek. Or bayou, whatever that spur is called.

That's exactly what the Dawson's bridges are. More trouble than its worth to demolish them so they leave them standing and close off access.
The one behind Matherne's looks like it connects the back of the Matherne's loading area with part of the old Swaggart complex parking lot. Anyone know what that's about?

If memory serves Swaggart built bridges over the creek on each side of Bluebonnet to connect his main property to the shopping center(Matherne's is in) and to his other properties (he owned a lot of the property where Perkins-Rowe is now).

It's got to be fully connected now, I haven't biked down the path in a few months. I'll do some exploring tomorrow and let you know
