I am not a truck guy but everyone in W TX who uses a truck for a living (ranchers, farmers, oil field baws) seems to prefer the Ram. Especially the old time ranchers and cowboys.
Most everyone driving a Ford or Chevy looks to be someone who just got their first steady paycheck and needs something to carry the groceries home from Walmart.

I have a 2013 Ram 1500 with the Hemi and 86,000 miles and haven't had any issues with it. My next one will be another Ram

I have a 2006 dodge 2500 with 190,000 miles and the only issue I have had was a leaking water pump. 40 bucks and about 30 minutes of labor and it was changed.
I also have a 2014 Ram 1500 with hemi with around 70,000 miles and zero issues. I have owned dodge chrysler products for years and it seems the Ram brand has fixed a bunch of the issues Dodge had with their trucks. Dashes, transmissions, etc.
Edit to add teh 2500 has a cummins diesel

Well this is the interior of the new 2019 Laramie limited. 65k. It is loaded with some cool features. Exterior looks is also leaps and bounds over the 18 model. Air ride suspension too. But will it last. That's a lot of money.

Just lease it. Dont buy. Resale value is going to be crap when the tablet is no long upgradeable with new fw or os.

Damn that's pretty impressive for a truck interior.
Not a Ram guy but agree

What truck do you recommend for the farm?
Whichever one you like. This is hilarious "that thing won't last 3 years" well seeings as how it has a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty I think it might.
Myself I have a 2017 Ford F250 crew cab king ranch for farm use. It's the perfect truck, but I'm quite sure I'd be just as happy with either a Silverado or a Ram too.
