OT baws, has Raising Canes lost the edge these days?

Is it just me or the size of chicken fingers keeps decreasing while prices go up. It also just doesn’t seem to have that much attraction that people had for it a few years back. Are people now going to Chick Fil-A instead?

If the OTs observations about Canes chicken size was legit, their tenders wouldn't be visible. I've never had issues with the size of their chicken, and the price had been constant for a while.

Another garbage thread by you.

Still tastes good. You just get less chicken.

It 'is what it is', a fast food place with great service and consistent product. The chicken is smaller but so is the chicken at every other place. It is a little pricey but it is a quick in and out.

When the original box meal was 4.99 with big tenders it was great.

Not at 8.99 or whatever it is now

Canes only gets my business when we want chicken now and CFA is too far away. Service is good and friendly, stores are clean.

For me, Popeyes has the best flavor. Customer service is a crapshoot and you never know how long it will take to get your food.

CFA is your best bet. Outstanding service, quality fast food, clean facilities.

To be fair, Wendy's / Whataburger / Chik Fil A et al.., are just as expensive. Fast food is not cheap as it used to be. The day of the .39c soft tacos at Taco Bell are gone

I don't go there, but the one near me has lines going out into the street and causes traffic problems.

Perhaps you could go there and decide for yourself which you prefer. I don't go to either of them, but I don't get a thrill from chicken tenders.

Raising Cane's was founded in 1996. That $4.99 should be $9.84 today, adjusted for 3% year over year inflation. $12.30 at 4% year over year.

The price has not kept up with inflation, which explains why portion size has shrunk, at least partially. I'm sure there's also some pressure to drive the price up/portion size down to fuel the chain's expansion from a small regional to a multi-national.
