Is is any good? I will be in town the week of the 15th and there is an event there. first time in LSU territory. Is it safe.

You talking about the River Center down town? Yeah, it’s a decent facility for an event. I had seats to watch Jeff Dunham one year. Fun time.

The parking garage sucks but the arena is decent enough. At least it was 15 years ago when I was there for an ice gator/kingfish game

You’ll be fine.
Street parking can be iffy unless you get there at the butt crack of dawn.
Just park in one of the parking garages and it’s a quick walk to the entrance.
