Extra points if it had simulated wood trim and a rear facing back seat.

Absolutely. Rode in the back and threw things at cars behind us.

ETA: Nobody wore seatbelts and the adults sat up front drinking cocktails when going out on Friday night for dinner.

Good memories of my friends old car, with that rear facing back seat

We tooled around in an early 70s Chevy Caprice, and later, a Chrysler New Yorker that was about as long as that wagon.

I can't remember what make/model we had. Would have been an early 70's model. But I know it had the wood trim and rear facing seats. Gonna have to ask my old man.

I remember putting all the seats down and sleeping on the huge back area.

Sweet! My old man had the Caprice classic with the "tailgunner" seat as a company car for a year. I never wanted to ride shotgun. Our regular car was a 71 Bonneville with a rear window deck you could sleep all the way to the beach in.

The Family Truckster??

Um, no! We rode on the package rack in the back like the other small kids.

1971-72 during high school, my buddy's mom had a 69 Mercury Marque, loved going on double dates in that thing, the back seat was has big as my bedroom at home.
