I was referring to the news, not the process. I saw the stem/blet unions put out pretty big statements to the companies today.

If CSX a criminal enterprises how do you feel about Warren Buffett and BNSF.

Also how do you feel about the banking system in the US? The US banking system and laws regarding trusts and LLCs in certain states facilitate thr biggest part of money laundering in the world.

Sorry for singling you out. Not gonna lie I didn't read much into this. Though I might (pun intended) derail some thoughts

I’ve been around enough CON’s and ENG’s to know that their are plenty of smart guys in the union. The problem is the job only requires a high school diploma so plenty of dumbasses too.
Herein lies the issue. And come to think of it the US system is set up basically like a labor union-the productive are forced to support the deadbeats. So, I guess we’re all brothers.

All the Class 1's are owned by the same hedge funds. Whats crazy to think about is that one of those funds - Vanguard - controls our retirement investments.

Already seeing train schedules being pushed back here in Texas.. railroads are purposely starting early with holding or cancelling trains. What's funny is they are saying they don't want any trains just left in sidings but we do that all the time. Nothing different. They could have ran trains right up to the strike date. But instead chose to hurt their customers and economy only to try to blame the unions when they are just as responsible for not reaching an agreement.

Just got a call from a customer stating the plant may have to shut down if the rail roads aren’t running.

Like shut down for good or shut down for the time being?

I've only been here for a little over 10 years so this is my first experience. The carriers already holding trains make me think this may last longer than the last strike which was only 4 hours. Hopefully they can reach a tentative agreement by Friday. I'm not holding my breath though.

The railroads are trying to invoke panic in their customers by shutting down early. They could have normal operations up until the strike, but they want their customers to beg Congress to stop the strike before it even happens.
