Its up there as well. I use to work for a company that had an office in West Virginia and everyone I communicated with from that office.. would talk about how they wanted to get out of WV.. It was only 2 or 3 different people, but they would just openly complain about living there.
I would imagine the reason they have a lot of "dumb white people" is due to the coal mining industry. Families who are "coal mining families" are likely not to make education a priority.

Louisiana is a strong one seed in this competition. Like many said, West Virginia is probably number one in the polls, but Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Alabama & Arkansas are all strong contenders that could take the title any given decade.

So if you had to put together 4 #1 seeds what are you going with? La. West Virginia, I have to go with Mississippi st, but then its a tough to pick the last one.

I disagree. The northern states all have much higher populations of whites. Chances are you'll find just as if not dumber people up there.
Plus, what are we gauging this on? Test scores?
See my statement above. Southern states are closer to 60-40 while northern states are 80-20 of white non Hispanic.
They tend to forget southern states are housing a good size able Latino population that English isnt their first language and are in schools as well.

Walmart has a fair amount of educated folks that work at their corporate headquarters, I suppose. Hmm. I guess Oklahoma would be my 4th 1 seed

Actually. Louisiana has the most smart people. WE LIVE LIFE...... You only go around once in this world. Might as well enjoy it. Name me another state that has a waterway know as the diversion canal and ALL that goes with it?????????
