Congrats
I quit in 2008 seems every year though I'll smoke one at the hunting camp for some reason usually buzzed. I'll wake up in the morning and taste that shite for days in my throat. That deters me until about next hunting season.

7 countries and a new house on 20k? Seems a bit of a stretch

Unless you were getting packs for $4 you saved way more than $20,000.
Yup. You are correct. I was about 2 cartons a week when I quit. So that was about $90/week. Which is $4700/year. Prices were pretty steady for about 3 years, and have averaged about $95-100/wk. since then. So let's say $5000/year. So we are at $14000 + $15000= $29000.
Was keeping it conservative at about $3500/year. Will edit OP.

Quit Smoking 6 Years Ago Today--by the numbers
6 years for me in September, quit on the LSU-NC football game road trip. Bought an entire DJ system after the first year for our tailgate.
The 40 lbs probably only scratches the surface.

That's awesome dude. Cigarettes are strange man. I quit 18 years ago and every once in a while I still find myself patting my shirt pocket looking for a smoke.

You should to give yourself some credit and damn dude, 50 cigarettes a day? I don't smoke unless I drink, and even then its only when I am drinking a lot at the bars which is rare. When I do I smoke though I smoke like a fiend and will go though a pack in a night and it makes me feel like death the next day, 100x worse than just drinking a lot. You must feel sssssoooooo much better!

I'm at 3 weeks currently. I was a pack a day, or more if I was offshore, for 6 years. it's been tough and I've had my urges but I'm going strong. it's nice to not be hacking up shite every morning. congrats to 6 years.

Congrats OP!
I just made the decision to quit today. I've gotten up to 2 black and mild cigars a day. I picked up a vape pen for now to help with quitting, as I mostly only get the urge to smoke while driving, so hopefully this helps me break that "habit"
