He's softened up on that stance since leaving the MetCo and his Ex-Wife (whose rich liberal uncle bankrolled his campaigns). While not 100% in the SG camp, he says he understands some of the arguments for it.

His affiliation with Gravy made him somewhat of a tolerant dude...but not anymore. Gravy and he mutually used one another for all wrong reasons.
People like Helmut head hate him.
