Question regarding car rental and car insurance

So my truck was fricked up by a tornado a little less than a month ago. Went and took my truck in to get fixed and it's supposed to be ready someone here in the next few days.
Well, I noticed on my insurance that they'll only pay a rental up to like $1,035. Basically a month.
My mechanic mentioned that usually insurance companies won't rent cars that long and it typically goes by a formula that includes the amount of labor hours that goes into the repairs.
Well, as we're getting closer to a month I've started wondering if it did run out already would my insurance or the rental company have called me and let me know, "hey, take the rental car back, we're not paying for it anymore," or would they just not care and let me be surprised when I go and pick my truck up and return the car?

Why are they taking a month to fix the car ?

The place I trust, which is the best in town, was backed up from hail damage a few weeks before. It sat for 4-5 days then they did a deep inspection to make sure I didn't miss anything that needed to be fixed and of course the damage ended up being a lot more than what was originally thought.
I also had to get a new truck bed, new bed-liner, side panel, pearl paint and the parts had to be shipped in before work could start.

What does your policy say? Therein lies your answer.

I get $35 a day for a rental and it says they will pay up to $1,050, or 30-days.
But the doing the work on the vehicle said he very rarely deals with insurance companies that let the drivers keep a rental the full amount of time.

It is not their job to inform you of your contract with them. Did you not look at what it says in your policy?

As long as there is no reason for a delay in the work, the insurance company will pay until you hit your max. They will send an adjuster out to the shop frequently to ensure the work is being done in a timely manner and make electronic updates to the rental car company. They will typically approve a week of rental and will update and extend as needed. Worked for a car rental company for 5 years and dealt with this daily.

Yes I just stated what it says in my policy above.
I'm assuming that means I should be fine, since I've paid the premiums I'm simply using the coverage I've paid for.

Also, if you are in the rental already and it is from a reputable company, they should give you a call at least a day or two before the last day of that the company is paying for. It really is a very simple process.

Okay sweet. It's from Enterprise, I feel like they're reputable, but this is the first time I've ever rented a car or had to deal with an insurance company so I don't really know what the frick is going on.
