Stalls when making a hard left turn or U-turn. I.e., turned completely to the left it will lockup and stall. Then I have to put it in park and re-start.

This usually happens when navigating my office parking garage.

Any thoughts on what causes this would be appreciated. I plan to take it to my dealership soon.

Thanks in advance...

You better trade it in for a 5.3 Denali.

Check the main fuseholder on the firewall right off the battery. Seen it multiple times. Make sure its tight.

I had this same issue on 2014 Silverado. Turned out to be a bad battery at first that when slow speed turns occur there is a need for higher voltage than battery could supply. Fixed it by changing battery as well as 6 months later changed alternator bc it began again. There is also a recall

Only make right-hand turns, duh.

My 2016 Sierra started doing this (my steering wheel shuttered and engine would kill when making a slow speed tight turn). Ended up being a loose battery cable.

Check your battery connections and if they are tight change the battery.

Sounds like a blown flux capacitor. Take it to Doc Brown Auto Shop. He specializes in that. Tell him Marty sent you.

Loose battery cable. The electronically assisted power steering is drawing too high of a voltage. Check your battery connections and tighten.
