I don't disagree with anything you're saying. But. People look at ultra marathoners or serious cyclists like they're doing something wrong. They're not. They're just doing what they do in their sport. It's no different than powerlifting or football or whatever else. Running ultra marathons is not good for you. Neither is powerlifting or football. But that's alright with the the people doing those things. None of those things are exercise for fitness' sake.

I agree. The extremes in either direction are likely unhealthy. Like everything in life balance is important.

If you do a good mix of different types of cardio (zone 2 runs, intervals, tempo run) then you can still lift, build lean mass, and drop BF% without sacrificing much progress.

Not really I'm right under 6'3" 210 but prob around 13-15% bf and I might call myself lean build. Just a perception thing I guess

Maybe. I hate my body sometimes. I admit I have body image issues at times.

I sometimes weigh myself 2 times a day. Sad thing is I know better than to use weight as a reference of progress but obsess over it. I just started implementing cardio during rest bc I decided I got too chunky during last bulk. One day I'm content and next I think I'm too skinny. There are definitely some underlying issues there but worst problems to be had
