Without more details, I would switch. The other vendor earned your business. Do ask the right questions to make sure they are not "buying" the business this year, only to go up in the future.

My parents like 85 year old neighbor always says this about her yard guys:
"Ive got to fire them every year or two just to keep them on their toes".
I will say, I help with a concession stand for non-profit and the company where our location is changed from Coke to Pepsi. When I talked to the Coke vendor, they told me they wished they had a chance to give a better bid. We had no choice we go with whoever the company is with. But to me, it shows that the company didn't bid out to both companies before hand nor kept up relations.
Depending on what vendor you are describing though, its not always beneficial to be switching to the lowest bid.

So, you never ask for a discount for the products/services you use to run your business?

This is the right way to handle the situation. I wouldn't mind paying you a price above B's quote, as long as I am getting good value for my $.

quote:
You have service with company A. Company B comes in with same service saves you a ton of money. You tell company A, you are changing, they come back and match company B. Does this not piss you off that they have to be pushed to offer you the savings?
This would not piss me off because, as a successful business owner, I realize companies are in business to make money.
I always chuckle at people who get angry when they voluntarily pay for a service and later think it costs too much.
