Question for some of you older gents on the OT. Let's go 50 and up.

Is there any type of natural supplements you take for every day aching muscles and joints? Things are starting to get a little rough around the old homestead.

I’m not trying to be rude, but did you look on the Health/Fitness board? Sometimes I see similar posts about this kind of thing.

turmeric at 1,000mg/day has been a Godsend for my knees. I tried the usual glucosomine joint formulas that did nothing for me. Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory that I tried after recommendation from a doctor friend of mine. About 10 days or so after I started, the ache in my knees and elbows went away. As a test, I stopped taking it - pain returned. Resumed taking it - pain went away again.

YMMV but I'm sold

Time.
I find that slight injuries that used to heal up in two or three days now take a month.

Cut out gluten.....your joints and skin will love you

Also helps with staying away from fat inducing items (ie pastries, pasta, bread, beer, etc)

I go to a physical therapist that stretches me, deep tissue massages, and needling for specific areas.

ETA: I’m not 50 but am very active and hard on my body

Nopolea cactus juice by Trivita. My mom swears by it. 80 yo and no joint pain. I just started drinking it and have noticed some improvement.

Metamucil. When that's all flowing smoothly, nothing else seems so bad.
