Obviously the best thing is to find a woman that you match well with in terms of frequency, duration, etc.

I think what happens to a lot of guys (and some women) is that the frequency changes, even though their drive hasn't. Some women tend to want to use sex as a bargaining chip, b/c they think they control the sexual aspect of a relationship. They don't, of course. Sometimes they need to be educated on this fact.

well i am not just talking about sex. this applies to everything. neither should hold out this hope that they other person should change, nor should they accept a drastic change (at least without more changes in response). sex just seems to be the most visceral/obvious/repeated example

and for some reason this has become socially acceptable

if men used their role in the relationship as a bargaining chip, they would be an a-hole

Sort of the mans fault if he allows this to happen. I would never allow a negotiation based on sex.

I always believed if you love them enough to marry them, you're alright with being "inconvenienced" every once in a while.

"Every once in awhile" is not what we're talking about, obviously.

We are discussing long term changes in a relationship.

Have they significantly lowered the bar for "genius level" ?

When mrs fin turns me down I beat off on her after she falls asleep

Method seems to work for not getting turned down very often.

Solid plan.

It stays off the sheets, too.

I can only remember one time in my life where I thought to myself, "I don't really feel like it." fricked her anyway. When my wife has turned me down a few nights, I stop doing my chores around the house, telling her I'm tired, don't feel like it, or just not in the mood to do them.

And this is when the marriage starts to break down. Withholding sex is not a thing to use to get revenge or to make a point.
