Question: anybody remember the "creepy stories" thread on here? Almost 100 pages long?

That thread started 12 years ago. Is there some rule that someone will kill me if I bump it? I recently experienced something very creepy and very real that would be appropriate for that thread. It's just not worth dying over. So what are the rules?

I will tell you a creepy story that happened to me in Navy housing right before my dad was discharged in the mid 80’s. If you have never experienced Navy housing back in the day then you won’t fully appreciate it because it was rough lol. My dad had off shore duty and my mom worked while he was deployed so me and my brothers basically raised ourselves most of the time. One of our neighbors had a son who had a reputation for getting in trouble but he was 17 so I never really knew him because I was 9 at the time. We came home after playing outside in the canyons near San Diego and found all of our pets missing or dead. It took me a couple of days to find my hamster because he put it in the microwave. My dog was found a few days after the hamster hanging from a tree. Late one night, a couple of weeks after our pets were found, I was sleeping on the couch and the door knob kept turning like someone was trying to unlock it. I thought it was my older brother so I got up and turned a light on to let him in but there was no one at the door. He was asleep in his bedroom. I learned all of this year’s later when my dad finally told us. Our neighbor’s son was arrested for the rape and murder of a teenager. He confessed to breaking into our house and torturing our pets. He also admitted in interrogation with the shore patrol Navy investigators that we were his initial target but were scared away when someone turned on a light. I tried to see what happened to him but couldn’t find much other than inmate report from the initial arrest.

Holy shite, we only live on base in Japan for a bit, always off base otherwise. It was just run of the mill child neglect of some around me, leaving a peanut butter sandwich wrapped in newspaper on the stoop, locking the kid out of the house after school kind of stuff.
That's a twisted little bastard of a kid, though.

It gets bumped once or twice a year, especially around Halloween.
Go for it.
