No, I am sure that wrecks are often involved.

Anything over 85+ is reckless in Alabama and has been for a long time.

25+ is also wreckless if it's under 85.
Just another reason Alabama sucks.

Whenever I get passed on the interstate here in Alabama by someone going 90+, odds are they are from Louisiana or Georgia.

Seriously.

My fine for a reckless driving ticket in LA was a smooth grand. I'm sure it's about the same.

My ticket was called reckless operation of a vehicle though. I assume it's the same.

This idea about the dealership getting involved saying the speedometer is off is really stretching it and can easily be seen as mockery. Bad idea IMO.

Are you an attorney?

I got a reckless driving in college for going 116 in a 55 in Fairhope, AL. Cost me $500. I had to go to court and everything. Yes, your trooper will show up.

91 seems pretty reckless to me.

Totally depends on the conditions. If the visibility is clear and everyone else is doing 80-85 it can be perfectly fine. That happens on some sections of road.

To the OP - unfortunately the law tends to frown pretty strongly on 90+. I highly recommend that you hire an attorney from that area who handles such cases.

It is. I'm not even trying to start anything. 21 over is beyond just a mere speeding ticket imo

If you are in any car worth a crap, 91 is not that fast. Most modern cars are built a whole lot better than cars of past and easily handle well up too 100mph.

...especially out on the open interstates...

I know there has been no activity for quite some time on this thread, but want to add that cops can still charge you for dangerous driving when under the limit. My cousin was in LA last week when he got charged and had to engage a DUI lawyer, LINK when he blew .06.

Alabama is the biggest suck arse state I have ever driven through with the biggest collection of POS traffic cops in the country. I have driven from San Antonio to Jacksonville and saw more cops on the road in Alabama than all the other states combined. It's not about safety, it's about revenue in Alabama.

Only for about 4 and a half years. Not bad.

Would love to hear and update from the OP though. Has his anus recovered from the jail time.

Why you shilling a Los Angeles California DUI bambalance chaser?
