Why are these ruffians performing the shooting not staying in their homes instead of out shooting people?

We've had a couple of shootings the last two days but didn't we go for like 5 days without any? Or did I just not notice them?

On a macro level, social disorder and natural disasters lead to increased stress, anger, and desperation which fuel homicides.
I expect it to get worse before it levels off as the financial strain on hourly workers increases.
