My youngest daughter's last bf is so dumb he would order outside the menu and still expect me and MrsLarson to pay for it.

Say you order that off the menu item. A few people see it and start asking questions. At best they order it themselves and the host gets stuck with a higher than expected bill because that other guest didn’t know about your arraignment with the waiter. At a worst, they make a big stink that the daughters boyfriend gets special treatment which causes grief for a lady who is trying to gather a few friends for her husband’s bday. You’re a +1, know your place.
