How tight are you with your vet?
Did they go to Auburn or Cornell?
In general I watch both sides of the equation. Drinking too much and eating too little. If they were feeding hamburger the pup may want nothing to do with actual dog food. May also have readjustment issues. I think the rule is ..

I do a lot of business with my vet and he went to Auburn so I can usually get a call before deciding on committing to the trip to the vet. Did you get any vet / medical records when you got the pup?

One of my younger hounds likes to stick nose in my armpit or sleep with head on my shoulder just above my armpit.
